The MSV Shining Stars Awards are back!
Across our neighbourhoods, customers, volunteers, community groups and local partners do incredible things to support others and make their communities better places to live.
The Shining Stars Awards give us the opportunity to recognise these special people and celebrate the difference they make.
Do you know someone who always goes the extra mile for their neighbours? Perhaps they volunteer their time, bring people together, support young people, care for the local environment or make a positive difference in another way.
We want to hear their story.
Who can be nominated?
Nominations can be made for:
- An MSV customer
- An individual who works closely with MSV
- A community group or project connected with MSV or our neighbourhoods
You can nominate someone you know, a neighbour, volunteer, group or community project. Please tell us what they have done, who has benefited and why you believe they deserve to be recognised.
Award categories
Lifetime Achievement
Recognising someone who has made an outstanding, long-term contribution to their community and shown a lasting commitment to improving the lives of others.
Young Person of the Year
Celebrating an inspiring young person under the age of 25 who has made a positive difference through their actions, leadership or contribution to their community.
Community Project
Recognising an outstanding, welcoming and inclusive project that has brought people together, created positive change or improved the local area.
Good Neighbour
Celebrating someone who goes above and beyond for the people around them, offering kindness, practical support and a helping hand when it is needed.
Great and Green
Recognising an individual or group helping to protect or improve the local environment through community gardening, growing projects, sustainability, conservation or other green initiatives.
Volunteer of the Year
Celebrating someone who has shown exceptional commitment through volunteering and has made a meaningful difference to their community.
Involved Customer of the Year
Celebrating an MSV customer who gives their time, shares their views and works with MSV to help improve services or make a positive difference in their community.
Community Hero
Celebrating an individual or group that has made a remarkable difference to the lives of others or to their local community.

Paper nomination forms are available from selected MSV hubs, community spaces and schemes. You can also speak to an MSV colleague if you need help completing your nomination or email involvement@msvhousing.co.uk
What happens next?
Once nominations have closed on Monday 9th November 2026, they will be reviewed by our judging panel and a shortlist will be selected.
Finalists will be contacted and invited to attend the MSV Shining Stars Awards ceremony on:
Wednesday 20 January 2027
More information about the ceremony will be shared with finalists nearer the time.
