The Moss Side regeneration project is about more than just building new homes – it’s about integrating into a community that reflects its rich heritage, meets local needs, and enhances the environment for future generations.

Following extensive community consultation and planning approval in November 2025, the project has now entered its next phase.

We're currently preparing our Gateway 2 Building Safety submission, a national requirement for higher-rise residential buildings. This involves submitting detailed information on fire safety, structural design and construction before work can begin on site. This stage typically takes around 12 months to complete.

Subject to Gateway 2 approval, we expect construction to begin in March 2027.

Heritage Group and community involvement

The story of the Reno and Moss Side is an important part of this development, and we want local people to continue shaping how that heritage is celebrated.

There are opportunities to get involved by sharing ideas for artwork, storytelling, public spaces and naming the new buildings.

Join us at our community heritage event on 24 July, where we'll be gathering memories, ideas and inspiration from local people.

This work will continue throughout the construction programme, helping create lasting benefits for local people.

Social value update

Caddick Construction has already started supporting community activity in Moss Side through social value work, including careers engagement, community clean-ups and tree planting.

MSV is also contributing £1,000 towards the 24 July community heritage event to support local involvement and celebration of Moss Side’s story.
