Supporting the people of Ukraine

The current conflict between Russia and Ukraine has displaced a large number of families, leaving many Ukrainians without a home and seeking refuge.

If you would like support the people of Ukraine during this crisis, there are a number of charities carrying out humanitarian efforts. 

These are just a few of the charities taking monetary donations:

Caritas Ukraine 

Red Cross 

UNICEF 

UN Refugee Agency 

Collection points in Manchester for essential items:

The Polish Integration Support Centre are running a campaign this week (ending 4th March) #StandWithUkraine, collecting essential items for Ukraine refugees with collection points across Greater Manchester and the North West.

They are specifically asking for foil blankets, sleeping bags, metal cups, toys, thermal clothing, children's clothes, nappies, first aid kits and a variety of sanitary / hygiene products

Greater Manchester Collection Points include:

  • Polish Club Back East Street, Bury, BL9 0RU (Mon-Fri 7.30pm - 9.30pm)
  • Vilnius Polish Centre Manchester Worsley Road, M30 8BL (Monday 2pm - 8.30pm, Tuesday 2pm - 10pm, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 2pm - 7pm)
  • BeeHouse, Deansgate Locks, 2 Whitworth Street, M1 5LH (Mon - Fri 12 noon - 10pm)
