Why work for us?

We put people at the heart of everything we do.

At MSV we strive to create an environment where everyone can flourish. Our staff are our most important resource and by supporting them we commit to ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Kindness, respect and doing the right thing are values we hold dear and are represented within our corporate plan The MSV Way.

Here are some of the benefits of working with us:

  • Agile Working
    • Where eligible, we offer an agile way of working that allows colleagues to work from where they need to be that day, whether that is at home, at our Head Office in Old Trafford, or at any of our schemes. Whilst all roles are not eligible for agile working due to the needs of the service, we provide flexible options across MSV.

  • Flexible Working
    • If eligible and subject to agreement, we offer our colleagues the opportunity to flex the times they work to suit their lifestyle as well as formal flexible working arrangements, including part-time, condensed weeks, 9 days fortnights, and much more. We will always try to support a flexible work-life balance where possible.

  • 33 days’ Basic Holiday (plus UK Bank Holidays)
    • It's important to us that our staff take time outside of work to do the things that they enjoy and have a healthy work-life balance
    • We recognise length of service by granting additional days leave up to 5 years service.

  • Holiday Buy Scheme
    • We understand that our colleagues may need more time off throughout the year, therefore we offer the opportunity to buy up to 5 days holiday each year.

  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave Pay
    • The amount you’ll receive depends on how long you’ve been with us, but after one year’s continuous service we offer enhanced pay.

  • Sabbaticals and Career Breaks
    • We offer unpaid time off work up to a maximum of 6 months to allow our colleagues the freedom and flexibility to go and take extended breaks for travel, spending time with loved ones, learning a new skill or anything else that takes their fancy.

  • Flexible Working
    • If eligible and subject to agreement, we offer our colleagues the opportunity to flex the times they work to suit their lifestyle as well as formal flexible working arrangements, including part-time, condensed weeks, 9 days fortnights and much more. We will always try to support a flexible work-life balance where possible.

  • Sick Pay
    • We enhance our sick pay whereby all colleagues receive a minimum of 3 months full pay, and 3 months half pay from the start of their 3rd year of service with MSV
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
    • We offer a 24 /7 EAP to all our colleagues offering support in family, health, life, money, and work. This includes a fully confidential counselling service where colleagues can access 6 sessions on MSV.
  • GP Line
    • Struggle to get in with your own GP? MSV offers a 24/7 virtual GP service that is accessible around the world. This covers appointments, prescriptions, and referrals to specialist support if necessary.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
    • We encourage our colleagues to commute in the most environmentally friendly way. Therefore we offer a Cycle to Work Scheme as a salary sacrifice benefit. This means that as well as getting a new bike and committing to exercise, there are tax and National Insurance savings to be had as well.
  • Electric and Hybrid Car Lease Scheme
    • We offer all eligible staff the option to purchase and Electric or Hybrid Care through a salary sacrificed leasing scheme.

  • Competitive Salaries
    • We ensure that our colleagues are competitively rewarded and are committed to being at least a median-pay employer for all roles. We hold annual salary reviews and benchmark our salaries every 3 years as a minimum, to ensure we are competitive within the market for the size and scope of our organisation. We also recognise the Voluntary Real Living Wage.

  • A fantastic pension
    • We are keen to ensure our colleagues plan for the future after MSV and offer the Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS), where colleagues contribute 4% of their salary and MSV will match to 10%.

  • Life Assurance
    • For colleagues within a pension scheme, MSV opts you into a life assurance scheme that will pay a lump sum of three times your salary to your beneficiaries should the unthinkable happen.

  • Recognition Rewards
    • We encourage our colleagues to recognise the fantastic work of others through a nomination scheme. Those nominated can receive a quirky perk such as an early finish or breakfast on MSV, as well as monetary rewards. Those colleagues nominated are entered into a quarterly draw and the winner received a £50 voucher of their choice.

  • Retail Discounts
    • We have access to thousands of discounts and cashback offers on shopping, days out, travel, holidays, learning and so much more through our Smart Hive Platform.

    • Are you a member of a professional body and need this for your role at MSV? We pay 50% of your fees each year for all eligible colleagues.

  • Study
    • Looking to start professional study? If eligible you can apply for support through MSV for a formal qualification whilst working for us.

  • Volunteering
    • We offer paid days volunteering per year to allow you to support local communities.
