Community Funding for Young People in Moss Side

We’re proud to have launched the Moss Side Youth Fund

It's a dedicated pot of money for local, youth-focused projects in Moss Side, brought to you in partnership with MSV Housing, Manchester City Council, Arawak Walton, Jigsaw Homes and One Manchester.

By working together, we’re pooling resources to back local ideas that make Moss Side a safer, stronger, and more positive place for young people to grow and thrive.

What We Were Looking For

Grants of £100 to £5,000 were available for groups, organisations, informal youth-groups or individuals (supported by a local organisation) working with young people in Moss Side. Projects were expected to:

  • Support early-action – offering positive opportunities and steering away from crime, violence or negative influences.

  • Build youth-led resilience – projects where young people take the lead, tackling issues such as wellbeing, community safety, food-insecurity or digital exclusion.

Who Could Apply?

  • Applications were welcome from groups and organisations working with young people in Moss Side.

  • Informal youth groups and individuals applied – as long as they’re supported by a local organisation (such as a school, charity or community group).

  • Larger bids (£5,000) required strong collaboration or partnership working.
