Our #WalkAllOverCancer team have raised £600 so far!

Only 6 days to go and an amazing £600 raised so far for Cancer Research UK!  Proud of our nine determined colleagues from Blackburn Foyer and Trafford House who have stepped out in sun, hail, rain and high winds to continue with the challenge throughout March to walk 1000 steps a day.

Anne commented on the challenge so far:  “Doing 10,000 steps each day has been challenging sometimes even on my first day.  Have enjoyed lunchtime walks at work and our dog Chester has been enjoying a couple of extra evening walks this week so I can reach my target.  I have also been using the stairs instead of the lift and can get 500 steps walking from the car park to my desk.”

Pauline said:  “So I've been increased my walking activity by walking my dog Maddie round the park more, taking the stairs in work rather than the lift as well as my badminton games. When I checked on my health tracker, the last time I'd actually done 10,000 steps was in December!! The time before that was in October!! I was only averaging 5000-6000 steps. As well as honouring my Uncle Sam I can get fit whilst raising awareness and raising money.

I was over the moon to have reached my sponsorship target on day 4!! That's the tip of the iceberg. Cancer research still needs your help and I still need motivation to keep up with my steps. Please keep those donations coming.”

Keep up the good work all! #WalkAllOverCancer
