Over the next couple of days, strong winds and snow warnings are in place across parts of the UK as Storm Goretti moves through.
According to the Met Office, Manchester is not expected to be as severely affected as coastal areas further south, with forecasts suggesting gentle to moderate winds and some snowfall. However, these conditions may still cause some disruption.
Due to the weather, we’re currently experiencing a higher than usual volume of calls, which may result in delays in answering. Our teams are working hard to respond as quickly as possible.

🔧 Helpful winter tips for customers
To help reduce the risk of problems during cold weather, customers may find it helpful to:
-
Keep heating on low (around 15°C overnight) to help prevent pipes from freezing
-
Check boiler pressure regularly and keep it at around 1 bar when cold
-
Turn off and drain external taps if possible
-
Know where the main stop tap is and how to turn it off in an emergency
-
If a condensate pipe freezes, use lukewarm (not boiling) water to defrost it
