On Friday 2 September we are celebrating the value of care and support services and the difference that having a safe and secure place to call home can make to people’s lives.
The Lodge is a brilliant example of this; a partnership between MSV and Manchester City Council providing 30 apartments for young people aged 16-17 who are leaving care. This is MSV’s 3rd Foyer and offers a safe stylish environment for our young people to live and flourish.
The Lodge’s Manager, Nicola, said:
"We opened our doors in May this year and currently have 20 young people living in The Lodge, with space for a further ten. There is a real buzz about the building as our Support Workers are building relationships with our young people, and continually assessing their needs in order to gain the best possible outcomes for each and every young person. We are working very effectively with a multi agency approach, being creative in how we can offer the best support holistically. It is an extremely exciting time for The Lodge and we are committed to making this service the best that it can possibly be.
