Please stay cautious if you receive unexpected phone calls asking for personal details such as your address, date of birth, or information about your home. A customer reported recently that someone claiming to be from a “Housing Repair Service” called asking for private information. This is not normal practice, and you should never feel pressured to share anything.
If you receive an unexpected call:
-
Do not share personal details (address, date of birth, bank details, login information)
-
Don’t answer questions about your home if you are unsure about the person you are speaking with.
-
If something feels off, hang up straight away
-
Report suspicious behaviour to your Neighbourhood Officer or call us on 0161 226 4211 if you want to check anything
