We're saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and our thoughts are very much with the Royal Family at this time, as the country comes together to pay tribute to and remember Queen Elizabeth II.
Over the weekend, the Government released guidance providing the public, businesses and institutions with advice on the period of national mourning following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III has announced an order that the day of the Queen’s funeral will be a bank holiday.
As a mark of respect, MSV office spaces and customer hubs will be closed on Monday 19 September to enable colleagues to reflect, remember and pay their respects to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Emergency repairs can still be reported to our out-of-hours team on 0161 226 4211 and we will re-open again as normal from Tuesday 20th September.
A National one-minute silence will be observed at 8pm on Sunday 18th September (the night before the Queen's funeral) and can be marked privately at home on your own or with friends and neighbours, out on your doorstep or street with neighbours, or at any locally arranged community events and vigils.
You can also visit the Palace’s website for more information about this mourning period and guidance for those wishing to attend Her Majesty The Queen’s Lying-in-State - which opens at 5pm on 14 September can be found here.
