National Hate Crime Awareness Week runs from 8th - 15th October 2022 and was established in March 2009 by the charity 17-24-30 to mark the 10th anniversary of the three nail bomb attacks in London, taking its name from the dates of the three attacks – 17, 24 and 30 April.
These horrific attacks were carried out by a homophobic right wing extremist, who targeted BAME and LGBTQ people, killing 3 and injuring 140 people. Since then, ‘17-24-30’ have continued to support the awareness week in October. For more information see https://nationalhcaw.uk/
