Projects of all sizes are welcome — as long as they bring a positive impact to Moss Side’s young people and community.

A new community fund has been launched to give young people in Moss Side the chance to bring their ideas to life and make a positive difference in their neighbourhood.

The Moss Side Youth Fund is a joint initiative between MSV Housing, Manchester City Council, Arawak WaltonJigsaw Homes and One ManchesterTogether, they are offering grants from £100 to £5,000 to support youth projects that inspire creativity, strengthen community connections, and help young people to thrive.

The fund is designed to help local groups and individuals turn their ideas into reality, whether that’s running creative workshops, improving wellbeing, delivering training, or hosting events that bring people together.

“We know that there are many amazing youth providers and initiatives happening in Moss Side, this fund will give groups a boost of cash to develop projects to support and inspire young people” said Stephanie Williams, Head of Customer Voice and Community Wellbeing at MSV Housing.

“We would encourage organisations to apply that are being led and inspired by the young people they work with, to help bring their ideas to life’

Applications are open to youth groups, community organisations, schools, and informal youth-led projects (with the support of a local organisation). Funding can be used for a range of costs including materials, volunteer expenses, training, and community activities.

The partners behind the Moss Side Youth Fund share a long-standing commitment to supporting communities in Moss Side and are proud to invest in the area’s next generation of changemakers.
