Mental Health Support - you are not alone:
It's Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, a crucial time to remember that looking after our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by the everyday, battling anxiety, or simply not quite yourself, please know that you're not alone and support is available.
Taking that first step to reach out can feel daunting but there's absolutely no shame in asking for help when you need it.
Here at MSV, we understand the vital role mental wellbeing plays in our overall quality of life. Please don’t hesitate to contact MSV's Wellbeing Team. They’re here to listen and provide guidance, so feel free to contact them by emailing wellbeingandtenancysustainment@msvhousing.co.uk

Free Counselling Support - a Safe Space to Talk
We are delighted to be working with the Manchester Counselling Training Centre to offer free counselling services to any MSV resident who wishes to access it. This valuable support aims to provide a confidential and safe environment for customers seeking help with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Recognising the importance of accessible mental health resources, this initiative is open to all MSV residents who may benefit from talking to a trained professional. Whether you are experiencing stress, anxiety, loneliness, or simply need someone to listen, this free counselling service is here to support you.
The counselling sessions are delivered by trainee counsellors from the Manchester Counselling Training College, all of whom hold a Fitness to Practice Certificate and are undertaking supervised practical hours as part of their qualification.
Currently, MSV has 19 trainee counsellors on placement, offering a range of therapeutic approaches. Thirteen counsellors specialise in Person-Centred Therapy,. An additional six counsellors are trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), a practical approach that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours.
If you are an MSV resident and feel you or someone you know could benefit from this free counselling support, please get in touch for further information on how to access the programme at wellbeingandtenancysustainment@msvhousing.co.uk
