This #NationalCareersWeek we hear from Aurelia and Reem who are currently carrying out placements at MSV through our Positive Futures service.
Aurelia and Reem didn’t just shadow us—they got stuck in! From learning life-saving CPR skills to visiting the Brotherhood Peace Garden, meeting partners on our Scrutiny Day, designing posters and even playing a game of bowls with our residents at Elmswood, they got involved in the real heart of what we do.
Reem said: "I was guided by the staff, especially Jade who was so welcoming. It gave me an insight into what it’s like to work and helped me speak up and adapt."
Aurelia added: "I enjoyed seeing that every day is different to the last... I gained more confidence. This placement has given me many opportunities as I have interacted with different people and been able to network."
