Charlie Norman

Charlie Norman
Group Chief Executive

Charlie has worked in the sector for over 30 years, across the North West and in Vancouver, Canada, with a background in community and co-operative development, neighbourhood management and regeneration.  She is honoured to be Group CEO of Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Group and committed to helping create more homes people can afford, more opportunity and better life chances for all.

Charlie is on the Board of Directors at Bolton Community Homes, is Vice Chair of the Manchester Housing Partnership and Vice Chair of PlaceShapers -  a national network of over 100 housing organisations with a focus on people and place.  Working with a wide range of partners, including the GM Housing Providers, she is a passionate campaigner for issues affecting housing, wealth and health inequality, supported housing, independent living and homelessness.   Charlie is also a firm believer in building a great work environment where people can flourish with a focus on flexibility, agility and creativity.

Charlie has an MBA, is a committed vegan and in her spare time enjoys time with family, rock music, hiking and yoga

Yvonne McDermott

Yvonne McDermott
Executive Director - Growth

Yvonne is a General Practice Chartered Surveyor with a background in private sector commercial property management, valuation and development including a number at years at The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company and the Manchester Ship Canal Company. She worked for 2 years in New York working for Related Management Corp. in the low income housing sector, a very different and interesting experience before returning to the UK spending some time as a Senior Valuer at Manchester City Council. 

Yvonne headed up development for St Vincent’s over  the past 15 years, and has undertaken the strategic asset management role for the organisation. She has  served on the Executive Management Team following  appointment to Director of Business Development.

In her appointment as Director of Growth, Partnerships and New Business for Mosscare St Vincent’s, she will head up delivery of over 1000 new homes and work with partners in Greater Manchester and the North West to deliver on the devolution deal including housings offer to health partners.

She says, "Mosscare St Vincent’s will be at the forefront of remaining true to the values  to house the most in need in society, combining this with sensible property decision-making to provide the much needed affordable housing development in our areas of operation and playing our role in addressing the Housing Crisis”

Andy Gay
Executive Director - Growth

Andy has worked in social housing for over 20 years, initially working at Arawak Walton as a Housing Officer after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, and then moving to MSV in 2002 to join the development team.

Since then, he has had extensive experience in Development and Regeneration, leading on the Stockport Stock Transfer with Mossbank Homes, and subsequently working in Business Transformation pre and post merger.  Andy has a wide range of experience in property development and community regeneration, business change, neighbourhood management, social value and more recently in IT and digitalisation.  Andy is a Board member for Manchester Athena. He is passionate about delivering innovative change to the business, ensuring that MSV moves with the times and invests in appropriate technology to bring about a better customer experience and stronger business.

Helen Rourke

Helen Rourke
Executive Director - Finance

Helen has worked in the social housing sector for around 15 years, firstly as an auditor with KPMG, and for the last 10 years working for housing associations

in leadership and finance roles. Prior to joining MSV, she worked as Finance Director & Company Secretary for Manningham HA, leading the finance, IT, risk management, business assurance and governance functions. A qualified accountant with a background in strategic development, negotiating new financing, partnership working and delivering change, Helen is also a Board Member and Deputy Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for another Housing Association in the sector.  A passionate advocate for the social impact housing associations can deliver and committed to tackling issues such as homelessness and inequality, Helen believes in creating collaborative working environments where people can work together to find solutions and deliver great customer service. Helen enjoys travelling and spending time with her family, particularly walking.

Matt Jones
Executive Director - Customers

Matt’s role is very much focussed on ensuring the best possible customer experience and is responsible for a range of services including  day to day and empty property repairs, keeping customers safe and all aspects of customer service including neighbourhood management, lettings, income, community safety and supported housing

Matt was previously Managing Director of City West Housing Trust, with a very solid reputation within GM and in the sector. He will bring a huge amount of experience after 22 years working in the sector along with a genuine focus on customers, improving lives and supporting the people he works with.
