Domestic Abuse and COVID -19

Since the lockdown the National Domestic Abuse helpline has seen a 25% increase in calls and online requests for help as restrictions increase tensions in some households.  Domestic abuse is not always physical and can be a pattern of controlling, threatening and coercive behaviour.

If you are concerned about yourself or someone you know, please ask for help – there is so much support out there.  If you are experiencing domestic abuse you are still able to leave your home to go to a refuge, or other emergency housing, despite current restrictions surrounding COVID-19.
