Coronavirus Updates

Following the Government's recent announcement about further restrictions across Greater Manchester, parts of East Lancashire and West Yorkshire, we have been reviewing the impact on our customers and colleages. The key restrictions in place from today relate to people meeting with other households socially within their home or garden.  They also relate to people going to work or meetings, either in the affected areas or travelling out of those areas.

At this moment there are no changes to services provided by MSV.  We will continue to carry out repairs, gas safety and other compliance checks.  This will be done by MSV Operatives who follow strict control protocols, wearing full PPE and practicing social distancing.  We would ask customers to be as co-operative as possible where an Operative has to enter your home, and ensure you are yourself practicing social distancing.

However, the safety of our customers and colleagues remains of the highest priority and from today we are restricting visitors to our sheltered, extra care and supported housing schemes in the affected areas, to ensure we are keeping customers safe. This is in line with the latest government guidance.

We are monitoring guidelines closely and working with our partners across Greater Manchester and beyond to continue to deliver an appropraite and safe service to customers, but we ask all our customers and colleagues to continue to be vigilant.  COVID-19 is still with us and is likely to be for sometime, so we must all remain alert.  Social distancing, hand hygene and wearing face coverings when appropriate is vital.

For a full statement from the Government on the Coronavirus, please visit the GOV UK website.

Please get in touch if you are at all worried about today's announcement.  We have teams in place who can talk to you if you are feeling isolated or anxious and we can put you in touch with agencies in your area who may be able to help.

To our customers and colleagues celebrating Eid this weekend, please enjoy yourselves at this special time, but stay within your household or social bubble, and stay safe - Eid Mubarak

The interests of our customers, staff, partners and communities are at the centre of everything we do, and this is particularly important during these challenging times.

Whilst we strive to ensure services remain uninterrupted, we must consider the needs of our customers, employees and partners who may have cause for concern about the risk of infection.
