for a future where people and nature thrive

The Mobilising Community Climate Action project is in collaboration with and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Everyone can play a role in tacking the nature and climate emergency. This project aims to inspire and support groups and individuals to come together and transform their relationship with our planet by taking local climate action to address the issues in their community.

Be part of the solution – Make a difference

As part of the WWF and Lottery Fund, Groundwork have £10,000 worth of funding to spend before the 31 March (extended deadline will be the 30 April). Community groups can apply for up to £1,000 to carry out climate action projects. Similar funding has been used to cover a wide range of projects, from Eco-streets to Community growing projects or active travel events.

Projects have to be fully implemented by the end of June. Everyone (including small charities) can apply and Groundwork have staff time to facilitate conversations or plan events to collect ideas. Group of at least 3 individuals are eligible as well and Groundwork/WWF can act as a holding organisation for the funding. The funding can be used to cover staff costs.
